I use 3.5" squares as Leaders and Enders which I sew together to create donation quilts.

This one will likely be used as a donation for my department's adopted Holiday Family in December.

These five will be given to Abilities First, an agency that helps individuals with developmental disabilities.

I use scraps and scrappy bindings for these quilts. It is fun to look back over the projects I've done that year by revisiting the leftover scraps.
I enjoy making these--it helps me feel like I'm giving every time I sit down to sew.
Happy Quilting! 😸
One day I may finish my 2 1/2 inchers. Never did get in the habit of using leaders and enders. Love that you are so productive.

DeleteThis is a beautiful quilt! I think simple quilts are the prettiest ones of all! I sorted through my strips yesterday and I actually filled a box with 3" strips. I'm working on a 2.5" squares quilt now but I see a 3" in my future, happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great thing about a simple quilt--the size of the squares doesn't matter, as long as they are all the same! Thanks for visiting.
