Jamestown Landing--FINISHED!

I started this in early December and just got it finished today.

Jamestown Landing is a design from Bonnie Hunter's book, String Fling. Her quilt was done in blues, but I don't love blue--I do love red, though. Hence, the change.

Thanks for the great design, Bonnie!

  1. As much as I love blue/white, your change up to red is brilliant and stunning! I think the pattern shows off impressively. Did you do the quilting? It's really perfect for the 'feel' of this one! A total treasure!!! Hugs.........

    1. Thank you, Doreen. Yes, I did the quilting--I wish it was a bit more complex, but I'm not expert at that step! I use my regular domestic sewing machine, so a big quilt like this one is challenging. Thanks so much for visiting my blog.

  2. I love the red - makes one wonder what other colors would be equally spectacular! Congratulations on completion :)

    1. Thanks, Roxann. Shades of green would be nice, I think.

  3. I love your version of Jamestown Landing! I've been making string blocks for this: ninety done so far, but I haven't started on the HSTs. My red stash is almost depleted by Talkin' Turkey. I was considering green or blue. Or I could just buy more reds.

  4. Bonnie's is in blue, and I think green would be pretty. But, if you have to buy, you can't go wrong with red! (My favorite color)

    Thanks for visiting, Laura.
