Keeping Track

I try to keep track of the quilts I make. I have a blog page on a quilt forum where I put everything as soon as it is finished (pictures, dimensions, types of materials used, etc.). Then, I blog about it in more depth here on The Eclectic Abuela

I also have a written journal, and this year I'm trying a diary of sorts. I've never been good at keeping a day-by-day record, so we will see how that goes!

I've also been updating the Quilt Gallery here on the blog today. I believe the pictures are now up-to-date with the quilts I have finished.

According to my records, I made 11 quilts in 2013, 26 in 2014, and 24 in 2015. So far this year, I have finished 2 (though 2 others are nearing completion). The numbers aren't really important to me--I just like the sense of accomplishment that keeping track brings.

And finally, a pretty picture. My son and his girlfriend visited last night and brought these. They bring a lovely bit of color to January.

I'm linking to Busy Hands Quilts. Though I don't have a quilt finish, I HAVE finished updating my Quilt Journal and Blog. :)

  1. The flowers are beautiful! I have not thought of keeping a quilt journal, but that is a good idea. When the quilt I just finished, I wondered when I put the first charm squares on my design wall!

    1. I know my memory, so my default is "Write it down!" :)

  2. That's a lot of quilt finishes over the years! It's nice to get caught up on blogging and journaling. I hope the daily journaling goes well for you. Lovely flowers, what a sweet treat!

I love your comments! I have, however, had to add moderation of comments because of spammers. Thanks for your patience.
